Focus and Scope
INTEGRATED (Journal of Information Technology and Vocational Education) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the intersection of computing technology and vocational pedagogy. Our mission is to provide a collaborative platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share innovative work that explores how information systems and digital technologies transform vocational learning environments.
The journal emphasizes the application, development, and socio-educational impact of technology, particularly within vocational and technical sectors. We welcome original research, case studies, and systematic literature reviews that contribute to the following thematic areas:
- Educational Technology & Innovation (EdTech): Development of digital learning ecosystems, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in vocational training, and the implementation of gamification and simulations to enhance technical skills.
- Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in Education: Design of user-centered interfaces for educational software, accessibility in digital vocational tools, and the use of immersive technologies (AR/VR/MR) to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.
- Applied Information Systems & IT: The use of learning analytics to improve student outcomes, cybersecurity within educational frameworks, and the development of cloud-based or mobile applications tailored for educational needs.
- Digital Vocational Pedagogy & Curriculum: Modern curriculum design for information technology programs, digital-based instructional methodologies, and studies on the impact of digitalization on workforce readiness and technical vocational training (TVET).
