Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts to INTEGRATED (Journal of Information Technology and Vocational Education). To ensure a smooth editorial and peer review process, all submissions must strictly adhere to the guidelines provided below. Manuscripts that do not conform to these formatting and structural requirements will be returned to the authors for correction prior to the review process.

All submissions must be based on the official INTEGRATED Manuscript Template, which can be downloaded via the following link: Template

1. General Manuscript Preparation

  • File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted as Microsoft Word documents (.doc or .docx).
  • Manuscript Length: The entire manuscript, including all text, figures, tables, and references, must not exceed 10 pages.
  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in proper and formal English.
  • Page Layout: Use A4 paper size. Margins should be set to 2.5 cm for Top and Left, and 2.0 cm for Bottom and Right. The text must be single spaced.
  • Font Typography: The main body text must use Times New Roman, 10 pt. The abstract requires Book Antiqua, 10 pt.

2. Title, Authors, and Affiliations

  • Article Title: The title must not exceed 16 words. It should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the research problem. Use Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, and centered.
  • Author Names: Write full names without academic or professional titles. Use superscript numbers to indicate affiliations.
  • Affiliations: Include the department, university name, and country for each author. Authors from the same institution should be grouped under a single affiliation.
  • Corresponding Author: Designate one author as the corresponding author using an asterisk (*). Provide a valid academic email address. The corresponding author is responsible for all communications regarding the manuscript.

3. Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: The abstract must be written in a single paragraph containing 150 to 250 words. It must summarize the research problem, methodology, key findings, and conclusions. Do not include any citations or undefined abbreviations in the abstract. Use Book Antiqua, 10 pt, italicized.
  • Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 keywords or phrases arranged alphabetically and separated by commas.

4. Main Article Structure The body of the manuscript should be divided into sections with clear headings:

  • Introduction: This section must consist of at least four main paragraphs covering the research background, literature review, and a general overview. Relevant literature should be discussed to establish the research position, and the final paragraph must clearly state the objectives of the study.
  • Method: Describe the research design, data collection, and analytical procedures used to solve the problem. The explanation must be detailed enough to allow other researchers to replicate the study.
  • Results and Discussion: Present the findings clearly using sufficient data and supported by scientific arguments. Address how the findings answer the research hypotheses or questions. Limitations of the study should also be acknowledged.
  • Conclusion: Provide a concise summary of the findings in relation to the objectives. It should directly address the research problem and avoid mere repetition of the discussion. Emphasize the scientific contributions and implications.
  • Recommendation: Present suggestions for future research and potential factors that may influence future study outcomes.

5. Tables, Figures, and Equations

  • Tables: Tables must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1). The title must be placed above the table and centered. Do not use vertical lines inside the table.
  • Figures: Figures, graphs, and images must be clear and legible. The caption and figure number must be placed below the figure and centered (e.g., Figure 1).
  • Equations: Mathematical formulas must be written using an equation editor (such as Microsoft Equation or MathType). Equations must be centered and numbered sequentially on the right margin. Define all variables below the equation.

6. Mandatory Declarations To maintain transparency, all manuscripts must include the following statements after the Recommendation section and before the References:

  • Acknowledgements: Acknowledge individuals or institutions that provided administrative or technical support but do not qualify as authors. Authors must also disclose the use of any Generative AI tools used in manuscript preparation.
  • Funding Information: Explicitly state the funding source and grant number. If the research was not funded, state: "This research received no external funding."
  • Author Contributions Statement: INTEGRATED adopts the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT). Clearly state the specific roles of each author (e.g., Conceptualization, Methodology, Software, Writing Original Draft).
  • Conflict of Interest Statement: Disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the research. If none exist, state: "The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this paper."

7. References and Citations All in text citations and the reference list must strictly follow the APA Style (7th Edition). Authors are highly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure consistency.

  • In text Citation Example: (Andrian, 2021) or (Smith & Jones, 2020) or (Wood et al., 2019).
  • Reference List Formatting: Entries must be arranged alphabetically by the first author's last name.
  • Journal Article: Nelson, K. A., Davis, R. J., & Smith, W. (2002). Optical generation of tunable ultrasonic waves. Journal of Applied Physics, 53(2), 1144 1149. https://doi.org/10.36040/test.v4i2.4067
  • Book: Creswell, J. W. (2014). Research design: Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches (4th ed.). SAGE Publications.
  • Conference Proceedings: Smith, J., & Trello, K. (2004). Adaptive filtering in data communications. In Proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Wireless Communications (pp. 65 68).
